I wonder Jan, what this track would have sound like if it did not have that drum pattern in it, but instead some congas, bongoes, and other African instruments for precussion?
I like everything except the drum beat.

Thanks for sharing your work, for the end of Black History month here in the states..LOL

Jerry,

In this piece are used a Djembe and marimba percussion instruments besides a drumkit. These are african instruments. Conga and bonga are more used in latin style music.

Nevertheless thanks for listening

Jan

PS

The performance I used in the XS was Africana

Jan, I know the drum beat, I’ve used it before.
I know the con and bon, are latin, but a constant beating of them, would work wonders towards the genre, just my lousy opinion..LOL
Well, see what happens when I like a song, I throw out crazy ideas about it.

Oh well, nce song nontheless.

Maybe this description makes things clear.

I did try to express a voyage through Africa. I forgot to tell it was by train. So the intensive drum part should symbolise the rolling train, and the other voices the surroundings. LOL.

So amagine a train rolling and boldering through the wildernis at night and then listen to this music track.

Hi Jan!
Very fast voyage through Africa.
Like the drum-part - need no train ;-)

Nice weekend!

Double.

Why is not possible to delete one if you want too after making a mistake?

Jan ~ This is cool.  I like this.

Let me tell you what “I” see when I listen to this.  More than just a passage through a wild & beautiful land, I am kinda focused on the chase of a big cat - in its attempt to land prey for dinner.  This a very nicely constructed piece (IMO), with a tenseness about it which draws me to the above.

Very good, my friend.

Nathan,

Your picture of this piece nailed it down to his essence. I like that picture of that big cat chasing his prey. I should change the title of this song.

Thanks

Nothing at all wrong with your title, my friend, because one could imagine seeing many different things - good, bad, natural - as a journey through Africa might be made.  You have done a great job ‘colorizing’ such a trip, with your musical paintbrush, and I wouldn’t change a thing about your composition - title, or anything.
