Hi everyone - I have been happily playing my mo for awhile… whenever I want a new sound I just goto my favorites, select, and then start playing.  But now I’m going to play live where I need to switch between The Core (performance mode)over to Slow Jam (voice mode).  It doesn’t have to be lightning fast but I was just curious if I could do it quickly without a pedal.  If that just doesn’t work, do I need a foot switch or a foot controller ?  Thanx!!

When you need to move between PERFORMANCE mode and VOICE mode, and then perahps later back to another PERFORMANCE, etc., etc. This is what MASTER mode is designed for.

MASTER mode is not really another mode as the others, it is a mode for organizing your data (for exactly when you need to call them up one after the other)… Often when on stage you need to move between modes - it would take too long to be hunting all over the place for each program… so what MASTER mode allows you to do is associate MASTER 001 with your PERFORMANCE

MASTER 001 calls up “CORE” PERFORMANCE
MASTER 002 calls up “Full Grand” VOICE
MASTER 003 calls up “Vintage ‘74” VOICE
MASTER 004 calls up “xxxx” PERFORMANCE
MASTER 005 calls up “PATTERN 01” PATTERN mode
etc.

So a MASTER is always associated with one of the main modes. Notice when you press [MASTER] the LED lights but also lit is either VOICE, PERFORMANCE, PATTERN or SONG…

When on the MASTER main screen
Press [F2] MEMORY
This is where each MASTER program is “associated” with an internal MEMORY and MODE.

So you can place your favorite programs to play in the MO in a specific order… so that when you are on stage you can quickly and easily increment through your setups. You can do this by pressing the numbered front panel buttons or just the [INC/YES] button to advance.
