Hi, I downloaded a snare drum wav sound to my pc, playback using Windows sound recorder - perfect.  Then I copied it to my flash drive and load as waveform into my Motif ES7....

File - load - type waveform - track 15 - keybank E1

It loaded sucessfully, however the sound quality differs (poor, hissing, distorted, flangered)than the original.

Can u help me please?  Thank you.

the wav detail / properties is :-

Bit rate 1411 kbps
audio sample size 16 bit
channels stereo
sample rate 44 khz
audio format PCM

I have tried other wav files, the sample poor quality playback from my ES 7.

sigh!....

It sounds as if you either have some effect applied which is doing this, or you may have faulty or incompatible DIMMs installed.

Have you tried loading other samples?

Check the waveforms in the ES memory and make sure they are not loaded or mapped more than once (trust me, I have done this). That can cause the problem you have.
