question what is “Ala” Preferences.

That is the path that you must choose to check the parameter. (Btw, I have corrected it).

From the Toolbar or from the Logic Pro at the top of the screen choose: Preferences> Control Surfaces Setup> click on any CS and make sure the Out Port and Input are both set correctly…

When I say, correctly, I don’t know whether you have setup any Control Surfaces but, they Should Not be set to any of the Rack XS’s ports…

sorry for the delay, ok i checked and don’t have anything assign to the motif XS rack

Ok, No magic here. As I mentioned I had the same problem and literally uninstalled and reinstalled the Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver five or five times before it bagan to behave properly… I don’t own a Rack XS so the other question is whether there is a setting that is transmitting those SysEx messages.

Btw, what ports do you have selected in Studio Manager Preferences? I should have asked this a long time ago… Can you please post a pic of it? It’s found under SM2>Preferences>MIDI Settings
