Hi, when I record a pattern chain, the recording goes fine. But when I play it back, the last few bars are often snipped off of the playback as if they weren’t recorded. This has happened on a few patterns now. Anyone know why this happens? |

What OS does your XS have?
This will not identify the problem you have, but as a work-around.

At what measure did you insert the “END” command (or did you even use the END command?) The “END” command can be inserted at any measure using the CHAIN > EDIT > INSERT buttons… “END” is actually one of the “SECTION” commands. Try it, its purpose should be obvious. |

Thanks for the reply. Putting in the empty bar at the end does the trick for now. I’ll play around with the end command, but am suspicious as to whether or not it will fix the problem. Even when adding the empty 2 bars, the chain pattern plays 4 empty bars back. It seems like a weird glitch unless I’m doing something wrong, or unless it is mandatory to use the end command to prevent this. |

By default the last section in the chain plays through once, then stops, regardless of how many times you let it repeat through during chain record. So if you expect the last section to repeat more than once, either use the “blank measure” trick, add another section change to the same section to get it to repeat or insert the END command into your chain at the actual bar you want the chain to end. The last section will play through from the beginning until the measure reaches the END command, repeating if necessary. |
