I thought I had everything worked out.  The XS keyboard is transmitting flawless midi note number control over DMX lighting.  Each key responds perfectly to Bank/Scene numbers on the DMX lighting controller with no mis-cues.  I have dedicated midi channel/track 15 on the XS8 for lighting cues and the DMX controller is set to and responds to midi channel 15 only.  When I record the note cues on the XS sequencer’s channel 15 it plays back midi note numbers and triggers DMX light scenes perfectly UNTIL....

....I add more tracks on other channels.  Every note on every channel sends an off command and sabotoges the whole thing.  I have everything but midi note number filtered in Seq Setup.  The DMX controller is set to midi channel 15.

What could be coming from the XS’s midi out during playback of OTHER tracks that is screwing everything up?

I have a few questions…

- Is there anything else connected to the XS MIDI out (beside the DMX controller)?

- Are you 100% sure the DMX controller only listens/receives messages on MIDI channel 15?

- Have you configured the XS to only Tx on MIDI channel 15?

Geez, I love this place.  I had been through every midi function in Utility, Seq Setup, and anything else I could find but missed individual Ext TX channels in the Song Mode.  Just went and tried it and so far it seems like this may have been my problem.  THANKS!
