Ok I simply want to assign voices to different parts so when we change songs I can simply hit the next part and poof we’re ready to go.

Why on earth is this so complicated?

When I go into multi, I am able to select a voice for part 1, but when I go to parts 2,3, thru 16 it is only playing the voice selected for part 1. i.e. PadOohs for part 1 , and part 2 is on string tremolo but still playing Pad Oohs. How the heck do I fix this or make this happen???

Much love,

Allison

Every part has a different midichannel. You just have to change the midi out channel on your keyboard. Hope I understood your problem right.

no, i can’t control that on my keyboard--it is just a plain yamaha p80 that had midi capability but i’m simply using it as a controller. i just have my keyboard set to transmit 16, and the motif to receive 16 as instructed during set up.
