i have a boss dr 880 drum module..how do i get it to play es rack drums? after midi hook up do both modules need to be analog in and out to a hd recorder? dumb i know

If your drum module has midi out, and can send midi data, then you’d connect the midi out of the drum module to the midi in of the rack.  Make sure the midi channels are the same and you’d probably also have to set note assignments for individual sounds.
You’d use audio cables from whichever unit you want to record, going from the unit to the recorder.

Hi amore125

are you wanting to slave your dr880 from the rack es or the other way around ?
In other words do you want to run your dr880 from the internal midi clock in the rack es or run the rack es from the dr880’s clock ?
