I recently got the Vintage Keys library from the Motifator store. I was able to transmit all the new voices to the User 2 bank on my Motif ES Rack. But how do I save the arps that came with the library (Vintage Arp Files) to be able to play the Pink Floyd arpeggios?

OK, I found the answer - Rack ES can’t load user arps…

I’m not sure what user arp you’re after, but could it be “on the run”? I play in Pure floyd (http://www.purefloyd.co.uk) and use a PLG-150AN in an ES-Rack for “on the run”.

Yes, there is an arp for “On the Run” in the Vintage Keys library but I can’t load it because ES Rack doesn’t allow user arps. (I don’t have any PLG board but the droning bass sound was recreated pretty well using only the Motif ES ROM in the Vintage Keys).

Hi, Chris

Thanks for the comments on the band. We’re only a small scale ‘Floyd band at present, but would like to make it bigger, and Pete, our guitarist, as a Gilmour impersonator is simply awesome!

Back to your question, I was going to make this patch myself, but (and credit where it’s due) I then came across it in the Regenerator Library (D12 - Floyd BS) for the Motif and PLG150-AN, which is a very nice collection of voices.

I’m also using the Solina patch from this library in a four voice stacked ES-Rack Multi for the intro to “Shine On”.

HTH

Cheers
Derek

Many thanks.

It’s a good library and one of the most useful that I’ve purchased from Motifator.

So, you’re doing some ‘Floyd yourself?

Hi Derek,

no im not doing any floyd
These days I am more into chill and electronica , kitaro ,tangerine dream and jane

mind you in 1979/80 I was in a punk band......lol, how things have changed
bought my first synth (casio cz-101) that came with the sz-1 (4 track sequencer) in 1985. Still have the sz-1 but the cz-101 fell apart over the years.
then my music went wayward for a good decade and an half (marriages/kids etc)

I have only built up my studio again over the past 2 years now.

but I love reminising the seventies and playing around with the voices
take care
cheers
