Rex, don’t get me wrong, but this is NOT my genre of music.
I like the overal concept, and thanks for sharing your work. |

yup i agree with Jerry, this song felt a bit dry to my ears. Motif xs is ideal for making dance tracks, most fun i had with mine is doing dance/techno/trance tracks on my Xs. your overall song is a good foundation to work with add little more to it, maybe one more synth leed arpeggio. btw, if this is for your forthcoming album, Good luck !! |

I liked it , But I have to agree with the others. there is no build up to give you a sense of anticipation to come. overall its a good base for something bigger .

Thanks Artists for the feedback, I will do more to improve on my next track. I must say the learning curve on the XS6 was tough. That first track was put together after 3 weeks studying the Motif (back in December 08), 6 minutes seemed long on the track I must add :) BTW BBSounds, that Shine4U remix rocked, keep em coming. Time to get cracking on Ammendment II.

Thank you von. I hope you voted :) any how, I must say that you CAN do almost everything in the motif but then again its good to take the base foundation of your track on to DAW Like, logic or cubase and many others and continue your work from there. Also, ( I assume you already do this?) listen to dance radio . commercial or underground, (what ever you prefer) and be an attentive listener rather than just you average layman listener. When I listen to a dance track I really really like, I get asked, “ what was the name of that song?” , or” what was that lyric?” and I would be like, I have no clue, I was not even paying attention to that. Rex: Like Jerry, I am not hearing the “heart” or the “hook” of this song yet. With that said, I know exactly what you mean about trying to get your arms around the XS. Celebrating my one year anniversary with my XS as of June. I feel that I (not this is just me) may have touched on about 1/5 of what the XS can do. I don’t have a lot of time to really spend with this wonderful creation due to my work schedule but just the 1/5 learning curve keeps a smile on my face. All the best, Toney |

BBSounds, I squared you away with my vote. Toney, I feel the same way about the XS. Currently I feel I’ve only touched 1/16 the potential. With work (Military), the Girlfriend, I look for the time to spend on my Motif and I make it worthwile. For my next work, I will work on the main theme (Hook), add arpeggio’s and expand from 4 tracks to 6 or more.
