The message should be followed by nothing for at least 100-200ms to allow responding devices to respond. |

If you go to http://www.digicake.com/midnam/ there is one for the motif xs (one for protools and one for DP). That is what I use for my motif xs6 and it works well. I am imagining that it would work with the rack as I believe the msb and lsb’s are the same...? Try it and see if it works. Probably the most you might have to do is adjust the name of the instrument and stuff like that, but it might work as is. Let us know if it works...I’m sure there are many other users that need a midnam. God bless! |

Hi, Yes the file from Digicake works fine with the ES Rack in Protools 8 but not easy to set up. If get an error message when you try and open the midinam you will need to open the midinam file as a text and change the model of your sound module to exactly what protools sees you sound module in the mixer window. Also there is a mididev file in your system that also has to be edited to your sound module name. Just cut and paste an existing modules data and change the name to your sound module. Another way is to download “Cherrypicker” which is free and this will help you edit the midinam file and will update the mididev file for you. Good luck |
