Can anyone out there recommend a program that can take a single midi drum track and sort out the notes and put them on separate tracks. I am using pro tools 7.3 now and have tried the split notes function but end up with 16 tracks of drums. Can anyone recommend a program that they have used with success.

It is not clear to me what Pro Tools is doing that is different from what you want to do. You say you want separate tracks… and when you use the “split notes” function you wind up with 16 separate tracks. I assume you used 16 separate drums… what am I not understanding?
