i found one in the pawnshop the guy wanted $499 (for it its a motif 7 es) i jus went today and he dropped the price to $250 cuz he said it wont record, what can be the problem? please if anyone knows what it could be ,hit me back asap cause if its something minor like the software i want to get it before its gone

Personal opinion here… but at $250, if it works at all - you can make sounds with it - it’s a steal.  Even if the sequencer is completely shot.

If it boots up when you turn it on, then buy it. At that price, I’d be suspicious it was stolen though. ‘It won’t record’ seems a very strange issue to report. Just check for yourself, boot it up, go into Song mode, press record, press play. What happens?
