Hello!

After installing Cubase 4 AI (included with MotifXs6), installing all other drivers and software to work with mlan16e2, I can’t get list of device(s) in Cubase/Studio Manager/Studio Manger Setup. There is nothing to add (I’d like to add Motif XS). In user manuals it says: “You want to “ADD” the “MOTIF XS” editor to your Workspace. There will be a list of Editors on the left side of the dialog box”.
Can someone help me, because I tried all sort of things, yet.

Best regards, P.

Have you installed both Studio Manager and the XS Editor which are 2 seperate downloads?

Studio Manager is effectively a host programme for all the Yamaha instrument and mixer editors.

If you have upgraded the XS to OS 1.5, be sure you have V 1.2.1 of the XS Editor.

Also, you might want to consider the Motif XS VST Editor which does not require Studio Manager and allows the XS to be used as a VST instrument with the audio channels back to Cubase all taken care of.

On a seperate point, I presume you have installed the Extensions For Steinberg DAW as (amongst other features), this will cause the XS to show up as a potential remote-control device under Cubase Device Menu/Devices.

Regards,

B
