Hello, just a quick question I have been having trouble with for some reason. How do you add an insertion effect such as the VCM Auto Wah, Touch Wah, or Pedal Wah to a guitar patch while in Pattern Mode? I need to be in pattern mode because I record the midi into Cubase. In Voice mode I can add it to any instrument by going to Edit - Insertion A and selecting it, but when I try to do that in Pattern Mode I go into Edit - Common and the Voice Insertion and A/D insertion and both blank? It only allows me to select Chorus or Reverb. I can add pretty much any other effect, compressor, delays, but can’t find where to add the Wah effects?
I am using a Motif XS6.

From [PATTERN] mode
Press [MIXING]
Here on the Mixer find the PART you want to apply the VCM Wah effect and make sure the INS FX SW is active. This Insertion Effect Switch can be activated on any 8 PARTS - if you cannot activate it, it is because you already have it active on 8 PARTS; simply deactivate it on a PART you don’t need Insertion Effects so that you can turn it ON on the PART you want.

Once the INS FX SW is active you can edit the Effects applied to this PART>
Press [F6] VCE EDIT (VOICE EDIT)
This will drop you into full EDIT mode on this VOICE
Press [COMMON EDIT] if it is not already selected
Press [F6] EFFECT

This will take you to the EFFECT page
[SF1] CONNECT - allows you to choose and/or change the INSERTION EFFECTS assigned to this VOICE. The AUTO WAH, TOUCH WAH and PEDAL WAH are INSERTION EFFECTS. Move the cursor into the INSERTION box and select the category = Wah
Select the VCM WAH effect you wish to use
[SF2] INS A and [SF3] INS B will allow you to edit the assigned effect.

When you have completed editing this VOICE
Press [STORE]
You will be offered a MIX VOICE location that will store you newly edited version of this VOICE - which will be store “locally” to this PATTERN… If you’d like you can store it to a USER 1, 2 or 3 location, if you’d prefer.

Hope that helps.
