cant seem to figure out how to get audio into sonar… im using an Es6 and a I88x. I’ve got the es6 connected to my computer’s usb from the host slot on the back so im able to record MIDI. I’m running stereo jacks from the l/mono and right output of the Es6 into the 3 and 4 balanced imput of the I88x. Then i have a firewire cable running to the computer. the I88 seems to be working fine but i cant run the audio engine in sonar and when i click on audio inputs it says none. all the mlaan outputs show up in outputs… is there sometype of setting im overlooking or some type of driver i need to download. as far as i knew audio traveled thru the firewire cable to the computer but im not sure… thanks for the help in advanced |

If SONAR says you don’t have audio inputs, then there’s a problem with the drivers. I don’t know if this MENU path is correct, because I don’t have my SONAR loaded up on my Laptop, but I think it’s OPTIONS / AUDIO OPTIONS Click the DRIVERS tab. Is your 88x listed (and checked) in the INPUT and OUTPUT drivers sections? |

Hmmmm. Does WINDOWS recognize the device’s input(s)? Go to the Control Panel (in XP-> AUDIO. In Vista -> SOUND.) Look to see if, under the RECORDING section, any or all of the 88’s inputs are listed. If not, it’s a windows issue. If so, it’s probably a Cakewalk issue. |
