How do you convert the recorded MIDI track in Sonar to an audio track and then use that audio track with other MIDI tracks? |

FLED, I’m surprised no one responded to this yet. It depends on the tone generator you’re using to some degree, but basically, you PLAY the MIDI track to your tone generator, and record the AUDIO OUTPUT of that tone generator into an Audio Track… If it’s a Multi-Track MIDI project, I usually record EACH TRACK to a separate audio track individually by SOLOING Track 1, record it. SOLO Track 2, Record it to a separate track, etc. This provides more flexibility for mixing. If it’s a SOFT-SYNTH, there should be an accompanying Audio Track created when you inserted the Soft Synth into the project. You can BOUNCE the MIDI into the Soft-Synth audio track. Once you complete the MIDI to Audio conversion, you’ll want to delete or (permanently) MUTE the MIDI tracks, otherwise you’ll start doubling the voices. |
