Hi all.

I am having a terrible time of trying to get where I need to be, on this site, and hope that someone can steer me along.  There was a ‘Database’ area, in the “Mo Song” section in the old forum, and I cannot find my way there now.  I need to get a copy of my songs that I have stored there (and, for some treason, I cannot get into the ‘Archived’ section).

Any helpful direction would be greatly appreciated.

You can still sneak into the old neighborhood via the S90 Fourm as a back door.

http://www.sninety.com/forums/index.php?Cat=

and here to go directly to the songs fourm that had the database.

A quick visit back will reinforce how crappy this new forum really is.

SpongeBob...you have NO idea as to how very helpful you have been to me.  I had just about given up all hope of ever getting those songs back, but you have turned all that around for me.

I know that I hadn’t been around for a while, but sure didn’t expect what I found when I did visit back here.  This site is absolutely horrendous, and don’t know WHAT was on the minds of the ‘powers-that-be’.  I know that some may like this, but I find it really terrible.

Anyway (to say again) thank you ever so much.

God Bless,
Nathan

Hey SpongeBob, I guess that I spoke a little too soon.  I mean, I yet thank you for how you tried to help me out, but I was only able to access the “NEW” song database.  I don’t see any way about how to gain an alphabetized listing of artist names, so I will just hjave to wait until I have the time to wade through the pages - and hope that my stuff is yet there.

Boy, what a total bummer.

Well...I thought that I’d give it a shot, seeing as how I found that there are just eight pages of songs - and none of mine arte ‘current’, so I guess that this about does it for me.

NLAlston, I found 22 songs of yours.
But I think you can still download them back yourself from the attached page.

Hey JOOP,

THANKS MAN.

I don’t know how in the world you were able to get to where you did, but I am so thankful that you were able to.  At least now I can get those songs back.  That was very ‘good-looking-out’, and I cannot say enough about what it means to me.

God Bless,
Nathan

Being new to the Mo World and all, I did not have the pleasure of seeing the old site until I clicked on the link that JOOP left for Nathan above.  Man, I felt like I had found Davey Jones’ Locker.  There are some real jewels there.

Can someone tell me why the Mo Songs thread on this new site does not have the search function to search by poster as thee old site had?

On a realted matter, why can’t the designers of this site also create about eight or ten categories/genre sub heading that we can use to ID our song’s or at least to serve as a reference point for our songs so other’s don’t have to guess what we are trying to convey musically?  The “Forum Reference” section on the old site could serve this purpose.

This is just a suggestion.  Create a simple 1 page upload questionaire that at a minimum asks the following questions associated with the song that a person wants to post.  After answering the questions, you can then click on an upload button that will attach the file.  Here are questions that I would ask.  I am sure that all you MO folks might have others.

1. What is the Poster’s Name
2. What style or genre is closet to what you think this song is (e.g. Country, Rock, Gospel, R&B;, Hip Hop, Classical, Pop, World, Jazz, or “Other")?
3.  Are you looking for collaboration on this song (Y/N)?

Anyway, just a thought

As I said and feared ...... it seems that development has stopped.

Obama, can you spare some $$$ for this site to be finished?

LOL Joop that was way funny.
Yeah, it does seem likely that development of the site has stopped, and I hope we are wrong about that.
Those suggestions are great, and I think they would add to the fun around these parts.

Another suggestion is to have a direct chat, other than the PM system.
Like wow, there’s a buddy list, but to what purpose is it?
Site wise, I’ve noticed that things have slowed to a crawl. LOL

HEY KEYFAX, WHAT ARE YA GOING TO DO ABOUT THOSE SONGS, trapped in the old song index?

Jerry:

Given the global/universal impact of music, let’s go beyond simple direct chat, let’s go full bore with audio/video chat.  That would be great, especially for seeing how other MO players are able to apply their skills.
