I was asked to do a track for a rapper in Memphis.  Tell me what you think.  Not completely finished product yet.

Junekat,

I liked the instrument pallette and the mix was very good.  Interesting motif with perpetual motion. Tight bottom end and bass. (what was that voice?)

After a couple listens, i was annoyed with the “white noise” sound that replaces the ride cymbal on the down beat… Perhaps with some vocal it wouldn’t be as predominant… imho

nice job. can’t wait for the finished project… will we hear it with vocals?

Yep Junekat, this is rap ready.
Do post up the vocal version.
I like those strings, nice touch and dynamics.

Thanks for sharing your work.

Hi Junekat, this is nice and smooth, yep this is definitely a head bobber (LOL).
It has a Barry White feel to it, as a matter of fact I can Imagine him laying down some balladeer lyrics.
I agree with Tbone, that 8th note sound does distract from the overall groove. clean that up a little bit, and you will be collecting royalties in no time (LOL).

Nice background for some more lead voices. I like the motown strings and the guitar arpeggio, good job!
