Hi, recently bought a Motif ES8 and would like to know how to dump all data to my computer as a Sysex File, just in case the battery dies. I have Midi-Ox and Sonar Home Studio 6XL, M-Audio Midi Interface. Could someone please give me a step by step guide
to accomplish this if possible ?  Thanks much in advance.

You posted this in the ES-RACK section instead of the ES section, but the steps remain somewhat the same.

In Studio 6XL, under VIEWS, go to SysEx.

Pick an empty bank, and select RECEIVE BANK.
Follow the instructions on-screen.

Then, on the MO, go into the UTILITIES menu, go into the Job menu, select which data set you want to dump, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

It will then dump the data into SONAR.

Once completed, go back to SONAR’s SysEx screen and select SAVE BANK TO FILE.

Done.
