Hi folks This is a video my brother took (on the cuff) while I was putting some ideas together on my Motif XS… The Motif XS continues to be an inspiring instrument for assembling ideas and making the final product (without the assistance of Pro Tools etc.). I used to be the owner of a Triton Extreme for about 4 years, and the touchscreen and the sounds made me keep it for that long. This Motif takes me back to those days of quickly putting together (and editing) quality sounding tracks due to it’s simplicity. (Pardon my brother’s exhuberence lol!!!) It’s in two parts:
Part 1:
Part 2:
Any comments welcome (apologies for the sound quality, as it’s a live recording on a Nokia N95). Thanks Bryan (BTW, it’s based on a 1990’s style smooth-RnB, Gospel style). |

Nice to see people having fun and using the XS :-) Your brother’s exuberance put a smile on my face! Why not upload the results of your/his work to the Mo Songs forum? Looks like you were well on the way to a nice chilled track there… Df. |

Nicely done! Indeed, your brother’s exuberance is infectious. Did you finish the track? I for one’d love to hear it. Good job. Taras |

Hi Taras, Unfortunately I didn’t get around to finishing the track… It was one of those situations in which I got so caught up recording the “loop” that I just jammed along with it with the synth leads! I will (hopefully) create something a bit more substantial soon, but for now I’ve also got a music webpage with some completed original work you could check out if you want: http://www.soundclick.com/bquarrie Thanks! |
