Hi everybody,

since 2 weeks I’m a very happy owner of a Motif XS8. I use it for live stuff in my band. For that reason, I made a layered performance with:
Part1 grand piano
Part2 warm back (strings)
Part3 Some brass stuff
I splitted P1 and P2, from A-1 till G4. P3 has a range of G4-above. This works fine, but the brass it one octave to high. The split point is ok, but I would love to take P3 one octave down. I can’t use teh octave up-down buttons, since the piano and the strings will be affected too, and that’s not what I want.

How can I octave the brass down without changing the piano and strings octave and without changing the split point?

Any help is appreciated :)

Press Edit and select part 3. Now change “note shift” from “0” to “-12” (= 1 octave).

Does that help? M

Correct!

Press [EDIT]
Press the Select button for the PART you want to Edit [1], [2] or [3]
Press [F1] VOICE
Press [SF1] VOICE
Here you can see the parameters for the PART you selected.
NOTE SHIFT is in the right column
Set the PART to -12 steps
Press [STORE] to update your PERFORMANCE
