Hi

Well, finally took the plunge and now have my Rack XS! Blown away with it and I’ve managed to get most things up and running with respect to external keyboard controller and PC links (USB). Just one minor issue that I hope someone will be able to help out with:

Using Yamaha Midi Drive 2.2.3, Studio Manager v2.3.0, XS Editor v1.1.1 under Windows XP Pro SP2 via USB to Rack XS. I’ve followed the setup instructions given in the manuals for synchronisation of the voice/multi data from/to the PC (see attached) but when I click the Start button in the XS Editor the Start button goes blank, the Stop button is shown but no data sync occurs. I’ve left it for quite a while but nothing happens. I click the stop button and can then close the sync screen and go back into the editor. The “light” next to the OFFLINE button is on so I assume that I have the connections correct but ONLINE is never displayed.

I can use the Rack XS with my external midi Keyboard and can here it when I’m in the Editor. The Keyboard and Rack XS work fine within Cubase 4AI.

I’ve trawled through the post here and in the archive but haven’t had any luck. Any ideas much appreciated.

Your Editor cannot find the product. This usually happens when you download the wrong editor.

We are assuming you have a Motif-Rack XS… as you can see from your screen shots, you have downloaded the Motif XS Editor version 1.1.1 not the Motif-Rack XS Editor version 1.1.1

Download the Motif-Rack XS Editor version 1.1.1 and you will be all set.

I followed the link to “mySoftware[Updates]” after logging in to Motifator and downloaded the only XS Editor I could find there. I’ve found the Rack XS Editor @ yamahasynth so will download that this evening.
