Sorry - the tutorial will have to wait - I can’t stop listening to the bass track solo’d.

Presumably this is a transcription of a real bass player - is it Jaco?

Only other possibility that occurs is Tower of Power’s bassist whose name escapes me.

Sorry.... got a bit excited! ;))_

Would anyone care to export this as .X0A or .MID? I’d love to listen to it, but I don’t have Cubase (and I’m not planning to install it in the nearest future). I guess a plain .MID won’t suffice because of the additional mixing data

Jote,

I exported as an audio for your listening pleasure.

I could flip you the MIDI (22 KB) but you’d have to mess with the patches, to your point.

enjoy

Tbone what happened to the tempo...? sounds like you slowed it down - no way is that the original tempo… Original Tempo is 127

It sounds funkier and therefor BETTER slowed down though.
I would have loved to hear a looped version of oh of those hooks on the bass, I think it starts at the beginning.
I’m going to run this through Cubase, even though I strongly prefer Sonar.

Nice double noted bassline though.

Yup. Busted!

I slowed it down to listen/jam and forgot to speed ‘er up.

Your work BM?

Well.....if I say so myself, my (admittedly second) guess was correct.

It is Tower of Power and that wonderful bass player is Rocco Prestia. Fantastic articulation eh?
