what i would like you to pay attention is the use of 2 bass guitars. a regular bass and a low smooth bass. the smooth bass is kind of a ghost bass.

Hey Kyle, this is smooth loc.
I like that flute, and I hear the double bass, and nice touch of strings towards the end.
Now just my opinion, I would like to hear verses of a jazz guitar, in between the chours of trumpet and flute.

Maybe even a short bridge, even if played by an instrument, independent of the chours and verse lines, ya feel me?

I even though about doing it myself, by downloading the MP3 and recording with it.

So ya see, I dig the track, very nice and smooth jam brother.

Thanks for sharing your work.

jerry,

yeah that jazz guitar would have been great. i didn’t do a whole lot with this because i was experimenting with the bass parts. as i recorded this i had a million ideas but stuck with the basics to see if the bass lines work. i will do more work on this tune definately....

This sounds like some of my type of R&B;.  I like when the bass and the flute dropped.  Please post more of this…

The only thing I DON’T like about it is that I didn’t do it!  Now, this is my kind of music (just about all the stuff I heard so far on this site is fantastic and soooo inspirational).

The 2 bass guitars work well here.  The only thing I might have added is a Richard Tee type of guitar, although it’s kind of 1970 or 1980-ish.  (Yeah, I’m dating myself). If you ever heard some of the CTI recordings with Grover Washington, Ralph MacDonald, Bob James, etc. you probably heard his guitar.  Just some sort of short solo part.

If your going to do more work to the song, be sure to post it.

Great job!!!

Love the intro with the panned e. piano. Not bad. I would actually like to hear this piece with live drums and bass (possibly flute) included in the mix. But this sounds like a Floetry song. Thanks for sharing....
