I’ve noticed that many voices in the XSpanded banks are stored with incorrect categories. The result is that, when you load the voices, you have strange voices showing up in the middle of unrelated categories (basses in the piano category, for example), and you miss out on others (new accordions in the keyboard category instead of with the preset accordions in the organs category).

Maybe Yamaha will have some time to fix these so that they will be correctly categorized in the next XSpanded bank that will also include drum voices.

To help, I’ve listed some incorrectly categorized voices that I’ve located. There may be others.

These are incorrectly categorized as piano:

bank1
h13 Do Dau

bank 3
A12 J-Bass Fng and Harm
B07 Tele Clean
H01 hoo haa hoo

These are incorrectly categorized as keyboards:

In the factory voices, accordions are in category OR, not in KB. So, in bank 1: E01, E02, E03, E04, and E05 should be, also.

bank2
D10 JuPiTeR

Bank 3
G13 Random Wave Cycles

These are incorrectly categorized as basses:
C12 Harmnx Arp
C13 Nylon Arp
D02 Strum&Tremolo;arp

Also, should D04 and D05 be a bass?

These are incorrectly categorized as leads:

Bank 2
D04 Oscillator Mod 1
D16 SynDrums

In bank 3, G16 (Airlock) should probably be a musical effect.

Here are some that I’m not so sure about:

I think that bank 2, D14 “Babo O’Riley” should probably be a musical effect, though this is opinion, I guess.

In bank 1, F13 is categorized as ch perc, when it should be sound effect.

In Bank3, H06, I’m not certain that this should be a guitar.

Shouldn’t bank 1, H16 be brass?
