Can’t hear anything at work currently, so I’ll have to listen when I get home. You know I love to jam, so expect something from me later....

Mark, how did you record this?
Frank, there will be more to come this week.

I will make longer grooves that will need a solo.

Michael, join in the fun, it’s funky RnB music.
Oh, and I do plan on posting some Rock music as well, so get your Motif guitars ready people.

Jerry,

As said in the other thread, its a little conveluted, although this one turned out a little better. Mainly just involved copying your MP3 to one of my mp3 players, and plumbing that through the A/D input on the XS, and plugging the out on the XS to another mp3 recorder. They’re cheap and cheerful things, hence the slight click at the beginning of the recording, and the occasional skip. What I really need is my dad’s Zoom H4 handheld recorder. I think that does lossless. Anyway, that one was actually quicker than the last one, I think I only ran through that the once before laying something down. Some day I must learn more about manipulating the effects. Sorry if it ended up sounding like I was playing in a bathroom !!!! LOL....

Mark, ok so you got it, yes it sounds like it has too much reverb.
Here’s how I do it.
Send an MP3, I load it into Sonar, and add an audio track, play along with the music, and then balance our the volumes of the two tracks.
Mix down the two into one track, add eq then mp3 it and post up.

3 pointer, we win..LOL

Do you have a DAW that can play and record audio?

I have Cubase AI that came with the XS, but no A/D converters to get an audio stream from the XS into it. I also have never really had the time to sit and get Cubase set up properly, so I don’t really use it. After a post on the XS threads, it seems the MLAN add-on would help get the Audio straight into Cubase from the XS, and it’s my birthday in April, so I may have to treat myself. I’d love to be able to spend more time with the keyboard, and in the summer, my wife works at the weekends, so it may be a possibility this year. You’re gonna have to teach me about using the effects properly though Jerry, cos going through the behind the manual stuff is quite confusing !!!

No problem Mark, but dude, you gotta convince your wife to let you use Skype, it will make our work a lot easier dude.
Also it would be faster as well.
If she says it’s cool, then you can help me on the rock track I want to make.

This Saturday, might proove a problem for me, for my wife wants to go shopping all day, calling it her holiday..LOL
The problem I have with that, besides the obvious, is that I have to watch all three of our children..dang dang dang.

Hey, what time zone is England on, you are in England, right?

Oh, and it don’t have to be Skype, it could be any of those messenger services, as long as it has VOICE CHAT,,video is an added plus though.

Hala
