Suppose I’m inside the song mode.
In the mixing settings I assign a Mega Distorsion Guitar voice to tracks 1, 2 and 3.
If I play the keyboard in track 1 or track 2 the voice sounds like it should, with all the effects and distortions, but if I play it in track 3 it sounds like a very simple guitar sound as it if had been taken out from the software synthesizer that comes with windows.

Is this normal? What’s happening?

Thanks in advance.

On the MO6/MO8 any three PARTS of your MIXING setup can recall their INSERTION EFFECTS from VOICE mode. But only three of them.

INSERTION EFFECTS are those (like distorion and amp simulation) that give a Voice its personality…

You can activate the INSERTION EFFECT SWITCH for any three Parts as follows:

Press [MIXING]
Press [EDIT]
Press [COMMON]
Press [F6] EFFECTS
Press [SF2] INS SW (Insertion Switch)

Here you can turn the INSERTION Effect Switch to ON for any three PARTS.

As we get more of the articles ported over from the old Motifator site you will find an article on the “Introducing the MO Effects” - it will help you get the most out of the available processors and it will help you understand how they are allocated in each different Mode.

Hope that helps.
