Pardon me for being so green, but is there a way to tell by looking at the display how much Dimm Ram is installed in your XS??

The top part of the display will tell you how much memory you have used and how much total memory you have installed.

For example,

Used 256.3 MB/Total 511.9 MB

That means you have 512 MB of memory installed and have used about half of the available memory

Below that is :

Recordable Size: 32 MB
Recordable Time: 320 seconds

This display never changes and just tells you that the longest single contiguous sample in a Motif XS can be 380 seconds or 6 minutes and 20 seconds.
