First thing : have you made sure that they are seated properly? It is very easy for DIMMs not to be fully pushed down. You need to push them down firmly (but carefully) so that they are fully seated.

What is the maximum amount that an ES will take ram wise?

1 GB (via two 512MB DIMM modules). (The specifications section of the Motif ES Owner’s Manual says 512 MB is the maximum, but it will truly support 1GB.)

Regards,

Brad Weber ;^)

rdyers,
formatting memory is like tuning a screen: out of context.

As said before the memory should CLICK in place, if it is not
fully seated down or skew it won’t work at all.
If you think you did it right, take the memory out and have
it tested in a computer or such.
Not all memory comes alive on arrival.

;JOOP!

Hi. I installed two 512mb modules of ram years ago. Works fine, but I only have an effective capacity of half a gig of ram. Is there something I am missing to use the full 1 gb of ram? ??
Thanx, Chris
