I don’t know what you others think but I have to say that at the moment this new site is a complete mess. Very confusing and difficult to navigate and almost impossible to find what you’re looking for. Many good things of old site are gone. It’s hard to understand why Keyfax wanted to downgrade the UI like this ??? Is this some kind of student work?

Fortunately I have no needs for product support (at the moment). Will be back in few years, when the site is up again. Have fun.

There are more site updates and bug fixes in the works.  The archived forum data will also be migrated over VERY shortly.

As always, please feel free to report any bugs by clicking on ‘the bug’ on the bottom right corner.  We are committed to making motifator.com the best it can be.

Thanks,
KF

No offence intended, but seriously, the new site is a bit of a disorganized mess, that so far does not work very well at all. Seems to me you’d want to know how folks feel about it, one way or the other.

A quick example is the Clinicians Corner drop down. You have them organized by person, not by topic. Makes no sense to me.

Another example is the My Software thing on the right. It will not update after clicking the box that’s associated with each one, and frankly, it looks like hell. I’d prefer it if I could just turn the ‘feature’ off if it’s not going to work.

I think you’re in over your head here. Half the new ‘features’ that were introduced on the old site never worked either, so I really don’t expect you to fix too much here. Something much simpler would be just fine, thank you.

One man’s opinion.

Agreed with the above commenters.

Then there is this community problem:

1) Someone posts,
2) I reply with [x] notify me by email,
3) I get an email,
4) I click the link,
5) it starts up, but I’m not logged on, so I can’t do a thing.

The Workaround:
I see emails,
separate I log in but freeze that browser,
(why do I have to type my name over and again?)
I click the link(s),
finally I’ve (emails + 1) browsers active, so I can read the threads and respond again.

P.S.: how do I get back to the sub-forum after I post a response?

I don’t like the look. It looks like a kids toy.
reminds me of the change from mario cart in 264 to the newer one..too much weird graphics.

Anyone know what the star in a circle next to the thread list means?

I’d imagine it’s utterly meaningless.

I think it might be when replies to that thread are 9 or more, maybe?

If the number of replies is already displayed, then the icon is completely superfluous.

I also am no fan of this “improved” site.  Most functions do not work as expected, hard to find stuff, would have thought posts would have been moved - not “archived”, I can’t stay logged in(multiple PC’s and this Blackberry), and tying to figure out “tagCloud” is it and other stuff on right suppose to be ckickable.

Glad my XS7 is up and running and since I use Sonar and not Cubase or even VST editor I don’t need forum support or even site support at moment.  I feel bad for those who do. This doesn’t look like much testing was done on before slaping it online

Like previous poster I’ll return in a month or two and see how things are going

I do wish everyone luck -this site was helpful to me and I know others so we want it to be a great site!

i agree its buggy.
the old was one of the best side, but this…

it is user unfriendly.
why ?

the layout is wrong.
that means ,
in the right sight must be to the left.flip it please.
so sign in is top left.
thats a need for small computer displays.

the right table is the trouble.

also new and old users get confused with wrong messages, an update is avaiable.
what?
no no the programmer(student) is sleeping.
new names wrong dates for old updates ?
i think in a few days you have customers with update confusions.

another issues are the name of the last poster is missing also because of the wrong layout.
its to small.
for that we have to much blank white on the right side.

also a must have is the 24 an 48h last total messages.
so nobody have a total feel what happens here and is informated.

the right side is the main problem, its all useless handycap for most browsing people.

to much white kontrast is wrong for the eyes on large display, means the contrast is to hard,
bad for long reading, ask the eye doctor.

so surf browsing time is smaller.

My main complaint is that the on-topic content has dried up to a trickle. Everybody is busy bitching about or praising the new interface and nobody is posting anything interesting. Just to prove my point, I did notice something positive that occurred over the weekend. Motifator remembered my log on and password for the first time since the switch. Progress!

What was wrong with the previous site? this looks like change for changes sake. It wasn’t broke so why fix it?

Precisely, so let me continue to illustrate your point. It’s such a pain to use this forum now. I still don’t see why the new image was necessary if the service is noticeably worse. Yes, posters wanted a faster site but isn’t that just a question of upgrading the server?

This forum just isn’t fun any more.
