There is a new Yamaha/Steinberg Firewire coming on March 3rd that will allow the connectivity of N Series and Motif XS. This has the integration of the Motif XS VST editor in it. However if you connect the mLAN port 1 for MIDI data and mLAN port 4 for the editor ( as you do with USB) , it should work, but you have to set this all up manually. Worst case, for now ( until March 3rd) you can use USB for MIDI and mLAN for Audio . It is possible to use both Firewire audio and USB MIDI at the same time. |

Yamaha-Us March 3rd for the new Yamaha FW steinberg driver/extension? Thats still 2 weeks to go. LOL. I also are using Cubase 5, XS8 and the N12. Do you recommend to wait with installing the new VST XS editor and using Cubase 5 till this new driver is available? Jan |
