Enable your browser to accept Cookies all the time.
I signed in day before yesterday and it remembers me. :)

This works?  For everyone?  Or just everyone except me…

I haven’t changed anything in my browsers and need to log in each time.

Possibly there are multiple cookies my cache as my old username was defunct… (runs off to clear his cookie cache...)

.... indeed, that was the issue. clearing the cache, then logging back in has “remembered me” now.

It should work, for everyone.

All you have to do is, go the PREFERNECES (of the browser)/ OPTIONS or whatever it is, and then possibly under the tab SECURITY, there must be an option which must be enabled to ACCEPT COOKIES always.

Keith,
the issue it would seem was I had two different cookies, for two different user names.

My old username was “rt” but there are some strange issues happening with that account and I could not get logged in.

I ended up creating a new username, just so I could report the problem, and it would seem that I had a couple of different cookies.  Once I cleared out the old cookies and re-logged in, all is well.

Ditto Tbones issue
It doesn’t remember me (and I have no changes to browser )

Also this site only works with one of my three PC’s that’s where I’m posting this reply from

Seems like a lot of space on site is wasted white.  Every new “page” =the top half is blank white space (Windows XP SP3 IE6 - all current)

Same here. Running under Vista I have set security to always allow the motifator site cookie access but it still does not remember me.

Agree with the other posters about the wasted space. This box I am editing is in the lower half of the screen in a narrow box with loads of wasted space all round. The Motifator title takes almost quarter! I am all for improvement and the new site shows lots of promise but the once we get all the archives back on line it will take up lots of pages, where the old one was a lot more compact.

Still, I get a lot of help from this site so no complaints, just a few observations :-)

Cheers

Steve V

I still don’t manage to have “remember me” on ... tried with cookies,no luck.

Is there a chance to add this option?I must add that I liked old forum look much more...this new is time consuming .

Cookies won’t do squat unless there’s an option in the website engine itself. Clearly it’s missing or not working correctly. I for one can’t find the “log me in automatically” option anywhere on the site.

Also, I’d like to be able to display more posts per thread page or display the ENTIRE thread on a single page. Those options are gone as well… :|

I’m not really sure if this is related to the initial problem ... but if you use Firefox extensions like “NoScript” (a tool I really recommend) here, it’s important that you allow scripts from motifator.com and google-analytics.com(!) on this site.

After I did that (and the idea came from the Motifator support), a lot of the features available here suddenly worked.
