I can’t get the editor to play from the keyboard. I can make it play by clicking the keys on the mouse but not by playing notes on the keyboard. I have Studio Manager V2.3.0 and Editor v1.1.1. Help!!!!!!

i believe you need 2 midi chords.

1.) Out from keyboard controller IN to rack

2.) OUT from rack IN to keyboard controller

and also set midi transmit to USB

Do you have your keyboard ( controller) connected directly to the Motif XS Rack and the Rack connected to your computer via a USB cable ?

* In connection example 2, the received MIDI data from an external keyboard is transmitted through the MOTIF-RACK XS to the connected computer. If MIDI Thru is enabled in the client application, MIDI data is re-transmitted to the MOTIF-RACK XS. For details, refer to the “Using the Thru Port” (page 18).

midi thru setup on your comp is most likely the culprit. Make sure the editor is putting midi thru

Make that 2 midi cords (cables). (not ‘chords’)
