Hi all,

Ok I have a ES6 that will not boot. It sometimes has a blank screen or odd pixels when booting. I will power cycle it a number of times and then I can get it to the Yamaha symbol. I do the REC + STOR buttons and can get it to the update firmware screen. 

I have a brand new 8MB SmartCard that I formatted for FAT32, and ONLY loaded the 0745OS.PGM file on it as the ZIP comeas with 2 notepad files on it (install instructions). I also installed new 1GB ram. I also had this error with the original 512MB RAM.

When I press execute, it immediately says R/W Error (Read/Write) with the new SmartCard installed with the .pgm file on it. I cant get it to do anything else.

Is my main board hosed?? Do I have a boat anchor?

Any help or direction would be appreciated!!

i have a motif that the left and right outputs together do not work. only seperatelt individually...can someone help
