I came into possession of an FL512 Expansion Module recently and now I have a really dumb question:

What exactly is it for?

Years ago I passed on buying one, cause at the time it seemed like way more then I needed. It may still be. But it would help to hear from others who have it and learn how, in practical terms, it expands the MOXF functionality.

Flash modules store samples.

Sample libraries of somewhat smaller than 512 MB can be installed to a MOXF after the FL512M is formatted. There are other limitations, well documented in support articles and threads here on Motifator.
