I did a search but no luck. What does VCM on some of the effects mean?

Ok, I found it. Virtual Circuitry Modeling. I’d like to get opinions on these effects vs the other effects in the XS. As I understand it, VCM emulates analog effects. Correct? What would the pros and cons be regarding the VCM effects? The distinguishable differences to your ear as well?

Yamaha has done a good job of capturing the characteristics of physical circuitry and emulating it digitally. The VCM COMPRESSOR 376, for one example, has an emulation of the UREI 1176.
