Can a Yamaha P-125 be used as a controller for an MOXF? The P-125 manual is not exactly clear on this and I’m hoping to find someone with direct experience with that set-up.

P125 is not a midi controller and it has not conventional DIN midi out! Only a simple digital piano for students.

So the USB to Host plug would not work to send MIDI commands to the MOXF?

Well, no directly! The usb port works only with computer platform on many instrument. These were designed primarily for this function.
You need a 3rd party hardware which performs the conversion, if an instrument has usb port only.
