I’m unaware of any specific step-by-step instructions.

I did try the manual - I’ll check it out again - appreciate your help -

The first link I gave explains how a mic is set up. The third post in the second link explains the options available for recording from the A/D input. The manual page references were mainly for filling in details. If you get stuck, let us know which method you’ve chosen and at what point the procedure isn’t clear.
