Having tried 2 up to date USB wireless adaptors without success, I thought it would be helpful if someone could publish a list of approved/known to be working USB WiFi adaptors in 2019.

Both of mine light up and work properly when inserted into a PC but do not when inserted into the Motif XF.

This is the most recent (as of February 2019) list available from Yamaha of compatible USB devices for the XS and XF:

Unfortunately, most are discontinued models.

If anyone is successfully using an adapter that’s not on the list, please post the brand and complete model number - the exact model is important, because manufacturers may change things that make a slight variant unusable with a Motif.

In addition…
1) Make sure that the most recent XF OS is installed (version 1.50).
2) Verify that the Utility mode settings are correct for wireless operation. *
3) Try connecting the adapter directly to the XF, not through a hub.
4) Determine if the USB port is supplying power, by verifying that other devices work.
