I´ve saved an all-file from my XF7 (x3a-format).
It´s saved to a USB.
I want to bring only this USB to a gig, cause I´m borrowing a XS7 there.
Is it possible to just load this all-file into the XS7, or do I have to do something more?

All my voices and performances are saved into USER1 and my samples are saved to USR, not flash rom.

Do I need this John Melas-software?

XS files can be directly loaded to an XF.

XF files are not directly compatible with the XS.

The file has to be converted, but even if you use conversion software, there are still some things to consider. The XF has factory Waveforms and Arps that aren’t available in the XS - check that none of your Voices use any of those.

I would suggest doing the conversion to an XS “all” (.X0A) file, and try loading that file into your XF7. Make sure everything works as you expect. Verify that the XS7 you’re borrowing has at least 128MB of DIMMs installed.

I also need to do this as I sold MY XF7 and am downgrading to a XS7.

Someone may correct my thoughts, but I believe the Melas software will do this.  You can always check John Melas’s website for confirmation or emai Him.  He has an impressive history of being forthright, honest, and prompt in his customer relations.  That’s been my experience.
