Please forgive the very basic nature of these questions.

1) The MOXF has a breath-taking collection of contextual argeggios. But I seem to have problems finding more standard arpeggios that simple play up and down or outside to inside on the notes pressed.

Do these exist? I can’t find anything in the preset list that stands out. I would have expected the first few to be basic “standard” arpeggio type options (possibly with scalar options also).

2) What is this mythical ARP6 that is never ever turned ON by defaul? I suspect it’s there to add your own but it would likely have been more useful if it was loaded with a standard ARP. Am I missing something obvious here?

Thank you!

See my post on how to audition Arps…

... and start with #7473. They’re in the Seq/Genrl category, as found in the MOXF Data List (https://usa.yamaha.com/files/download/other_assets/2/330242/moxf6moxf8_en_dl_a0.pdf).

There’s nothing “mythical” about ARP6. The MOXF is mostly based on the Motif XF. The XF has only five Arps available per Program. To help with compatibility between the MOXF and XF Presets, the sixth Arp in the MOXF is unused by default, but it can certainly be turned on.

If you haven’t seen them already, you might find the following support articles interesting:

Thank you! You’ve provided the absolutely perfect response. I’ve struggled to find these in the vast haystack of options but this sounds right. Also, your ARP6 explanation of 5 on the system from which this was born makes great sense.

Thank you. Not only for this assistance, but also for the substantial contribution I’ve seen you make throughout this forum!
