I installed a 512 memory module and down loaded the chick C files from Yamaha site

when I try to install in on my moxf6 it takes over 10 minutes to load then I press the voice button and no sound anywhere on the keyboard I did a factory rest and tries it again the same thing happens I tried it again after reformatted the 512 module the same thing am I missing a step??
the words of all chicks pianos do come up on the screen

It’s unclear to me what you’re saying is happening.

If you do a factory reset, do the Preset Voices work?

yes it goes back to original setting and the sounds work but when I try to load Chick’s pianos again it no sounds any where

If loading that file causes the Presets to no longer sound, something might be wrong with the file.

However, first let’s check something else. Which version of the OS (firmware) is installed in your MOXF?

To check…
Press [UTILITY]
Press [JOB]
Read the displayed firmware (Firm:).

What do you see?

The firm ware is V1.03.0 I am going to try another file now

Your MOXF is running an old version of the firmware. I suggest that you update the OS. The most recent version is 1.12.

HI Buddy no good same thing after trying to in files there in no sound out of the keyboard.. Am I doing something wrong after install complete I press the voice button should I have turned it of and on first??

1) Are you allowing the library installation to fully complete? It takes about 5 minutes per 128MB to load, so about 20 minutes for 512MB.

2) Did you update the OS?

3) What is the full name and size (in MB) of each of the files you have tried to load?

Ok I just loaded INSPFLSH.X6A from Yamaha site And it loaded fine.
could it be the chick files if corrupt in some way. 
too bad I’d love to hear those sounds. I’ll try another down load.

1 more question I have about 6 libraries for xf I know with my xs I can’t pull out a separate voices
is it possible with the MOXF I really love the S700 Piano but there are sounds on other libraries I’d like to use as well

Yes, it’s possible that the copy of the Chick’s file you have is corrupted.

Individual Voices can be loaded into an XS, from an XS “All"/X0A or “All voice"/X0V file, and some others.

You can load individual XF Voices, along with any necessary Samples/Waveforms. See the Description for “Voice” on page 156 of the MOXF Reference Manual (http://download.yamaha.com/file/60478).

Of course, you’ll need to make sure there’s sufficient room on the flash module for all you want to load. See [SF1]CURRENT, and determine what the Free memory is before trying to load.
