Since the Output power is similar at 12V 1.5A with Positive at inner contact,can we use either power supply on either Synth?
MX61 -PA150B Input 100-240V - 50/60Hz 0.5A
Output 12V 1.5A Positive at inner contact
MoXF8 -PA150A Input 230V -50Hz 0.2A
Output 12V 1.5A Positive at inner contact

All Yamaha PA-150 power adapters have the same output specifications: 12V 1.5A.
The differences are in the input specs.
PA-150 - Input 120V 60Hz (US market)
PA-150A and PA-150B, as you described.

Since you emphasized the input current, I presume that’s your concern. Input current will vary with input voltage - highest at lowest input voltage - and is the maximum that will be drawn under normal operation. Apparent input power (not specified by Yamaha) is voltage times current.

For the PA-150A, input current is 0.2A. Maximum input power is 230V times 0.2A = 46 volt-amps.

For the PA-150B, input current will be maximum (0.5A) at the lowest rated voltage (100V), so input power at 100V is 50 volt-amps. Input current at the highest rated voltage (240V) will be about 0.2A, for a calculated maximum power of 48 volt-amps.

The differences in calculated power are due to the current spec being given with only one significant figure (nearest tenth of an amp).

Choice of PA-150/PA-150A/PA-150B should be made by matching its input voltage rating to that of the AC line (mains) voltage at your location.

I am in Malaysia of voltage current at 230-240V 50-60Hz. I suppose it is safe to say that
I can used either power supply to both synths, as long I am within a country of
same voltage current supply.
My intention is to use MX61 in all my gigs because it is much lighter compare
to MoXF8 and always hovering on my mind is to have a back up power
supply. Instead of purchasing another power supply (PA150B for MX61),
I simply bring along PA150A power supply as stand by.

Yes, either the PA-150A or PA-150B will operate at 230-240V.

Yes, the PA-150A can act as a backup if 230-240V AC is what’s available at all your gigs. (The PA-150B is useful when moving from one country to another where the AC line/mains voltages are different.)
