Hi wondering if anyone has input on this ?
The default buffer is 512 ms which seems high for recording .

Hi skybo, There isn’t a definitive answer to that because everyone’s set up is different. The best thing to do is to try setting it as low as you can and see what happens. You won’t be causing any damage if it does glitch and click. Find the point where it starts to click and glitch and consider setting it a little bit above that. The buffer is a trade off between latency and processing power, as you probably know. Ideally, you want to keep it low when recording, so that you notice less latency. That comes at a cost of placing more strain on your computer. Once your tracks are recorded and you want to process and mix them, you can set it higher again to free up some processing power. |

I use 64 samples with my XF/FW16e and have no glitching issues. |
