I feel I’m quickly becoming one of those newbies -
Honest, I spent over 30 minutes researching:
I edited a voice in voice mode and wanted to store it. I saw that every slot in the user banks is already occupied. If I overwrite one of these entries, is it gone forever? I’m curious if a sort of “permanently installed” USB thumb-drive will help me in any meaningful way here. Will it give me another bank of empty slots? Humble Thanks, |

That’s OK, everyone gets a probationary period. Â ;-)

You could prevent that shutdown, if you wanted to. Â :-)

When new or after a factory reset, MOXF User Voice locations just hold copies of Voices from the Preset banks. So there’s no loss of anything that isn’t still there, and a factory reset will bring it all back, anyway.
Although you didn’t ask…
Â
You certainly could save an “All” or “All Voice” file to a USB drive. From either of those file types it’s possible to load back to the MOXF all the User Voice banks, a single bank, or even a single Voice. By the way, you can store up to 16 Mixing Voices per Song/Pattern - a total of 256 possible - in the MOXF. |

I had the feeling that was the case (all of the above), but this wasn’t explicit in the relevant manual sections. That I encountered, that is. As I’m getting familiar with its operation, any subtle buyer’s remorse is quickly evaporating. And I’m only poking around in voice mode so far. I ordered myself a full-range pedal following our prior conversation. And this old on/off can help me do something different! Looking forward to some added control.
Thank you so much for elaborating and being so generous with your time!

You’re welcome - I’m glad to help when I can.

Thanks, although you’d be in the minority. Â ;-) |
