Is the copied file in the USB drive’s root directory? If not, the MX won’t see it.

Is TYPE set to “All”?

Finally I did it, I removed the backup file I had made from the usb disk, and my MX
finally saw the Bomb.x5a file.
The MX cant seem to see both files on the same disk, only one, weird.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

By the way the Bomb performances are very good, much more playable than the originals.
to bad we cannot load single performance , some originals are very good ( about 10)
for my taste anyway.

I’m glad you were able to load the file. However, there shouldn’t normally be a problem in seeing more than one file. There might be a compatibility issue with some USB drives…

Also, some USB drives have management software installed on them. Drive manufacturer websites usually have removal tools.

Single Performances can be loaded. Set Type to Performance - Source and Destination can be selected. If the Performance is based on User Voices, they have to be in place. See pages 36-37 of the MX Owner’s Manual and page 62 of the Owner’s Manual.

By in place you mean that the performance you want to replace in your MX as to be chosen before
loading the new one from the usb drive ?
So the new performance will be saved in it’s place ?

Performance data doesn’t include Parameters for the Voices. The Voice data has to already be where the Performance expects it - the Performance just points to that data. If a Performance is based on Preset Voices, then you can just load the Performance into any available Performance bank location.

However, if a Performance is based on User Voices, then those User Voices have to be loaded to locations where the Performance points, or the wrong Voices will be used by the Performance.

Ok managed to load the performances,
The system for the voices vs performances is almost the same for my Korg Kronos
synth if the programs are not in the appropriate places in the banks the Combi when loaded
will point to the wrong program, and will not sound as it should.
The problem I had with the MX(loading performances) was that I did not notice the SRC for source and
DST for destination so I got confuse.

Thank you for your help
