I recently broke out my MOTIF 6 (mint condition) in an attempt to use the sound engine to play GarageBand as a backing track for guitar practice. The iMac 27 (2014) card reader is a different size and MOTIF will only accept the larger SDSM card.  Does anyone know if a card reader with USB to my iMac will work in terms of getting the right OS update on the older SDSM card and ultimately to the MOTIF 6?
If successful on that part am I likely to get the MOTIF 6 to play GarageBand via MIDI using the MOTIF 6 sound engine or is this a bridge too far?  Thanks for any help on this.  My techno skills are elementary.

There were Smart Media to SD card adapters on the market a while back.

Of course the issue with SD cards is that the Motif can still only address 128Mb worth of it, so a 32Gb card would be wasted for this.
