Hello there,
I checked the manual and yesterday I tried to record a song.
To me this sounds a bit weird to be honest, but in worst case I can
Best regards |

Instead of creating a new thread, I will use this one.
Would there be any qualitiy difference/loss if I recorded
I could use any Software (e.g. Audacity or Directly Cubase AI). Best regards |

The DIGITAL OUT of the XF is a 44.1kHz 16-bit S/PDIF output. Its content is the same as the main (L/MONO and R) line outputs, but before conversion to analog. |

Thank you for your answer, but to be honest it’s not 100% clear to me.
I mean, if I record the sound through the Digital Output,
If I record it by using the Firewire port, I will also have a WAV file.
Now if both WAV files get compared, will there be “any” difference? Best regards |

Whether from the DIGITAL OUT or via FW, it’s a digital stream that’s being recorded, and ideally the result would be the same. Differences (if any) would relate to the interfaces and/or recording software, and their settings. Done properly, I wouldn’t expect a difference in the WAV files. |
