Announced in the latest Yamaha Music Production Guide (issue 08/2014) from Yamaha Europe and Easysounds is a series of free performances for Motif XF and MOXF. There is a six page article discussing the performances and how to use them.

A common download folder is set up for the three sets of the Hybrid Performer series, where the sets are added in three steps. As of now, the first set containing 32 Performances for MOTIF XF and MOXF is available and can be ordered by writing an e-mail with the subject “Hybrid” to:

After registration you will receive an e-mail containing a download link from EASY SOUNDS with a clearance for the content. You can use this link for the next two sets, which will be published along with the next two editions of the Music Production Guide.

The latest (January 2015) edition of Easy Sounds came out today, and the second installment of the Hybrid Performer performance library is available for download.  If you downloaded part one, You can use the same download link, user name, and password to download part two.  Looks like there are some winners here!

Yes, the same link with user name and password sent when you have issued first file is for the second one.
I have downloaded file and it is OK. It consists of two voice files and two song files (both Motif XF and MOXF) and PDF guide. I also recommend you to download video instructions from YouTube. Link is provided in MusicProduction guide.

I can’t find my download link and password from the first set so, I sent an email with Hybrid in the subject line but have not gotten a response.  Anyone else having an issue with that.

I’d be grateful if somebody could answer what is probably an easy question.

I’ve downloaded and loaded up the hybrid performances, but I can’t for the life of me see exactly what voice is associated with each part.

Specifically, I’m looking at song 9 “Jump”, and have gone into mixing mode and can see that part 1 is synth brass, part 2 is strings.  What I can’t see is exactly what voice (e.g. preset bank x, voice y) this synth brass is.  Where do I view this please?

Hi friends I just downloaded the Hybrid Performer – Set 2 but I get an error (Iligal file) when I try to load the HYBRID2.X6A file, has anybody had the same problem?

From the MOXF Owner’s manual:
Illegal file The file specified for loading is unusable by this instrument or cannot be loaded in the current mode.

Which mode is the MOXF in?

File Load Type selected should be “All”.

Which OS version is installed in your MOXF?

To check the OS version…
Press [UTILITY]
Press [JOB]
Read the displayed firmware (Firm:).
